Former Alabama softball player Ryan Iamurri rejoined the Crimson Tide in the fall of 2021 as its volunteer assistant coach and moved to the Coordinator of Player Development in the fall of 2023.
A native of Naples, Fla., Iamurri played at Alabama from 2011-14, winning the 2012 National Championship, three SEC Championships and an SEC Tournament title. She earned CoSIDA Academic All-America honors as a senior and was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll in each of her four seasons.
Following her graduation, she worked at the Softball Strength Academy with former Alabama teammate Cassie Reilly-Boccia while also coaching at Yorktown High School in Yorktown, N.Y., winning back-to-back section championships. In 2018 she started coaching alongside her father, Robert, at Florida Southwestern, winning the 2021 NJCAA Division I National Championship.
